Meet Our Founder
Sooa Shim, an NYU-trained math educator and former teacher in New York public schools, founded DND to bring real U.S. math education to Korea. With dual master's degrees in Math Education and Special Education, she understands how diverse learners grow and succeed. As a former international student who taught both Korean and American students, she knows how to bridge cultures through math. Drawing on her experience teaching both Korean and American students, she founded DND to help learners in Korea succeed globally — think, speak, and solve confidently in English — without facing the same barriers she once did — through real U.S.-style math instruction in English.
