The Vision Behind DND

DND was founded with a clear purpose: to bring real U.S.-style math education to students in Korea — not as a translation, but as a complete instructional philosophy. Our founder, Sooa Shim, experienced the challenges of learning in a second language firsthand. After earning dual master's degrees in Math Education and Special Education and teaching in New York public schools for nearly a decade, she returned to Korea with a mission: to help Korean students succeed globally by learning math the way it's taught in top American classrooms — through logic, discussion, and expression, all in English.
