Biography

Anne Burgunder is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Math Education at New York University. With over 19 years of teaching experience at NYU, she brings deep expertise in conceptual learning, discourse-based instruction, and teacher preparation. She advises DND on the development of bilingual math instruction and educator training, grounded in a philosophy that treats mathematics as a language for reasoning, communication, and sense-making. A long-time advocate of meaningful learning, she is deeply committed to helping students and teachers engage more deeply through mathematical thinking and dialogue.
